On the Plateau d'Assy, the Notre Dame de Toute Grâce church is a unique masterpiece of contemporary Religious Art.built out of green stone from the green lake, inspired by the architecture of mountain chalets, it has a bell-tower 28 metres high.
From 1937 to 1946, it was decorated by some of the world's most famous artists including Braque, Chagall, Léger, Lurçat, Matisse and Bonnard.
Guides from the Savoie Regions Heritage Trust will be happy to show you round. Another feature is baroque art like the retedos in Bay chapel and furnitures in the Saint Pierre & Saint Paul church.
