Other associations

Association created in 2019 by a group of citizens with the aim of reducing waste and giving a second life to objects so that they do not go to incineration.

At present, the Mont Blanc Recyclery exists on a temporary basis, as it does not yet have premises. It organises "collection and information" afternoons on the roundabout leading to the Passy/Chedde waste collection centre, just before the incinerator, or by collecting items directly from homes on request. It regularly takes part in flea markets to resell the equipment recovered and
recovered and reconditioned.
These two associations are run by responsible citizens who are involved in the fight against air pollution. They have created a dynamic and an awareness of the inhabitants around recycling and transformation of waste. Thus :

- A Household Waste Reduction Plan or Plan B'OM, was launched on 1 July 2021 in the Mont Blanc valleys, and around thirty families are participating in this "Zero Waste" challenge.
They meet at Repair Cafés, and take part in workshops to make or repair things and exchange information on the Plan (sorting, tips and recipe exchange).

- A "Bread Bag" operation distributed in Passy's bakeries has been going on for a year, to raise awareness of waste reduction. The donations are given to the school associations for school activities.

- A Green Waste Shredding Operation at home started in 2022, as part of the Mission AIR 2021 Call for Projects of the Atmosphere Protection Plan, where we were pleased to be awarded a grant to finance part of the project. This operation takes place over 2
sessions, one in spring and one in autumn.
