The Plateau d'Assy is an architectural site of international renown thanks to its former sanatoriums. These buildings illustrate the technical and aesthetic genius of 20th century architecture. They have had a considerable influence on our habitat.

Situated between 1000 and 1530 m above sea level on a series of terraces backing onto the Fiz mountain range, facing the grandiose panorama of the Mont Blanc massif, the high plateaux of Passy were chosen for their climatic qualities from 1921.
Thanks to the collaboration of doctors, hygienists and pioneering architects, the former sanatoriums created a new relationship with the air, light and the environment, a new aesthetic of housing, with pure and unadorned forms.
From the pavilion model to the compact building, they offer a complete range of solutions to meet a function and the use of new techniques and materials (reinforced concrete, linoleum and porcelain stoneware).
Widely commented on in the international press at the time, these buildings are an essential stage in the great achievements of contemporary architecture in France. Three buildings have been awarded the "20th Century Heritage" label: Praz-Coutant, Guébriant and Martel de Janville, the latter being listed as a Historic Monument.

It is possible to program this discovery by integrating it into a complete circuit with lunch facing the Mont Blanc range.
