"More fun than you ever had" is Camille Sava's first exhibition. It shows some of the poems published in "Les Branches des autres" in their original, collaged form, and extends the experience.
Camille Sova was born on a full moon day in 1995 in the Landes region of France. She studied history and literature in Toulouse and Paris before moving to Haute-Savoie, first to Annecy and then to Chamonix. Here, she works in education, culture and the voluntary sector. At the same time, she is developing a multi-faceted artistic activity: she composes poems - most often collages - songs, in-betweens, poor books, more rarely video-poems, and has recently taken up public readings and near-performances. His poems have been published in some twenty magazines in France, Canada and Switzerland, and two collections are due for publication in 2024: Les Branches des autres (MF éditions), the fruit of a long process of collage and misappropriation of personal development works, and La Chambre-forêt (Éditions Apeiron), an illustrated transcription by artist Annie Courtiaud of his first show, written and performed at the La Nuit des Ours festival in 2023.
More fun than you ever had is his first exhibition. It shows some of the poems published in Les Branches des autres in their original, collaged form, and extends the experience. Each poem, anchored in a particular season, is an opportunity to bear witness and reflect on what it means to exist and to be part of society in a world that is going badly and pretending otherwise.
The exhibition also includes other works, some still in progress, including a photographic series entitled Autopsie, various video-poems to watch and listen to, and yet more poems; the weaving together of the various elements is ensured by an installation throughout the exhibition.
Although still present in the Chamonix valley, Camille now lives in Marseille, where she continues to create and distribute her work.
