The Tour of the Fiz mountain range: hiking trails to discover in total freedom!
Be careful: the Tour des Fiz is open from mid-June to mid-late September, when the refuges are open. Some of the trails pass through areas at altitudes of over 2,000m, which may still be covered in deep snow. Between the Giffre Valley and Mont Blanc, the Fiz range is a magical site in terms of landscapes and nature. The diversity of the natural environments offers the hiker a different opportunity each time to be amazed by the beauty of the mountains.
Self-constructed tours, from 2 to 4 days’ walking, from the “family” tour to the “sports hiker” tour…
A unique setting, with Mont Blanc as a backdrop and a breathtaking diversity of landscapes that crosses the nature reserves of Sixt and Passy, and the listed site of the Désert de Platé.
This preserved area where man and nature meet requires the utmost care. Thus, specific regulations apply in terms of fauna, flora, camping, dogs, etc… Do not hesitate to consult the information on these regulations on the ASTERS website.
The hiking route is marked out by 9 refuges which are at most 4 hours apart and often less. Generally open from June to September, they offer single nights, half board and full board.
